Updated Chaffles for breakfast
I have been doing a chaffle breakfast sandwich all week with these simple ingredients.
Plug in your Dash mini waffle maker and let it preheat. It will click and the light turns blue when ready.
1/2 C Mozzarella
1 egg
dash of salt and pepper
Mix together and stir
Let the waffle maker do 2 complete cycles til waffle looks crisp, use your fork to remove it to a plate, and let it cool completely, it will firm up as it cools.
Add remaining batter and cook that 2 cycles.
In the mean time, prepare your other toppings. You can add a fried egg, if you would like, however this week I have opted to skip the egg and just add a pork sausage patty and a slice of cheese.
Once the bottom chaffle is firm, add your cheese, then your additional toppings.
Your 2nd piece should be ready now, pull that out with the fork and add to your stacked sandwich.
I let mine sit about 5 minutes so it firms up.
Unplug your mini waffle maker, close it, and let it cool. Cleaning is a breeze with a paper towel once it is cool.
Enjoy your breakfast!
