That Low Carb Life
Really? Me? Lover of all things carb and craft beer.
The goal was to go low carb, low to no sugar and no alcohol for a month.
Checking in at day 16 and it's really not so bad.
I'm not starving, there are plenty of approved snacks in the house, and there have been no cheat days or slip ups-thus far.
I will say, meal prepping is key, as it makes breakfasts and lunches much easier to just grab, while dinner takes a bit more planning, but having plenty of fresh vegetables on hand at all times, and a freezer full of meats makes things easy to switch up.
Sidenote: I don't mind meal prepping lunches, but reading a weekly meal planner to tell me what I am supposed to be eating for dinner is just annoying to me.
So what am I eating?
Bacon, cheese, eggs, cream cheese, almonds, sunflower seeds, chicken, pork chops, steaks, bacon cheeseburgers, salads, fresh veggies, strawberries, apples, avocados, pears and more!
Photos and recipes in future blog posts!
