Healthy Eating Away from Home
We spend a lot of time in Joshua Tree and surrounding areas when not at our home base.
It's nice to support local businesses, and in reality, you can have a better meal than convenience food.
John's Place in Yucca Valley is one of my favorites! You can literally eat here all day long and all the food will be delicious. On my most recent visit it was lunchtime, so I carefully inspected the menu for things I could eat without having to modify too much. They have an amazing taco salad, but as the shell is very oversized and not low carb, I knew I had to avoid it.
I settled on the chicken breast salad, and prepared to have way too much food on my plate when it was served.
True to nature, a large salad was placed in front of me with a huge thick chicken breast on top!
Add a side of ranch and I was ready to dig in!
I barely made a dent in this salad. And I ate til I couldn't take another bite!
Really delicious, all fresh, and very satisfying.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner are all delicious here, you should check it out!
